The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) is looking for participants to be part of our upcoming focus groups in Medicine Hat.
The Medicine Hat Focus Groups will support ICAI in creating a strategy to understand and support our members in Medicine Hat as we move across Alberta. This call is for immigrant and newcomer arts professionals ONLY in Medicine Hat to participate in our upcoming focus groups, to share their experience, challenges, wishes and desires as newcomer and immigrant arts professionals and help ICAI better support them in reaching their professional goals.
WHO CAN APPLY
Professional artists, arts administrators, and culture workers in Medicine Hat.
No age limit
No residency time limit - Immigrants can apply regardless of how many years they’ve been in Medicine Hat.
FOCUSED GROUPS DATES
Medicine Hat Focus Group - in person: July 31st, 6-8 pm, Esplanade Arts and Heritage Center (Cutbank Room)
Lethbridge & Medicine Hat Focus Group - online: August 8th, 6-8 pm. Zoom event
TIME COMMITMENT AND BENEFITS
Each participant will join one focus group either in-person or online. The focus groups will have a facilitator that will gather information from the group. The duration of each focus group is 2 hrs.
Participants will receive a $50 honorarium for 2 hours and have the opportunity to meet an amazing network of newcomers and immigrants.
Light snacks provided for the in-person focus groups.
