Rehearsals: March 13 – March 31, 2022 (subject to change) Run: March 31 – April 9, 2022 (subject to change) Audition Dates: September 10, 11, 12, 2021 Application Deadline: August 30, 2021 ROLES TO BE CAST: MONA – Female, 24 years old, Lebanese, buoyant, sprite-like energy YARA – Female, 24 years old, Lebanese, grounded, tree-like energy. ZIDAN – Male, 31 years old, Lebanese, level, wolf-like energy. Also plays Fifi – Zidan’s drag persona, phoenix-like energy. CASTING STATEMENT The piece is set in Beirut, Lebanon and as such, we will prioritize actors who identify as Middle-Eastern or Arab. Actors who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, as well actors from the LGBTQ2SIA+ communities are also strongly encouraged to apply. ABOUT THE SHOW The Green Line explores intergenerational memory through the lens of four queer relationships in Lebanon. Two women fall in love under the tumult of war while two men meet for the first time in the hidden recesses of the queer night life. At its heart, The Green Line is a contemplation of the way memories are inherited or erased from our lineages.
