CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
SNAP Emerging Artist in Residence
Deadline: June 30, 2023
The Emerging AIR Program offers emerging artists and recent graduates a studio space as well as an opportunity to work rent-free at the SNAP Printshop for a 4-month term. The program provides emerging artists with a new environment, a community to exchange ideas with, and a chance to discover Edmonton’s internationally acclaimed arts community while further developing their practice. Artists in residence are encouraged to build community within the printshop through critiques and studio check-ins with other artists and staff. During the residency, artists are invited to give a lecture on their work and offer a workshop or demonstration of their specific technique(s). Most artists in residence will work towards an exhibition at SNAP gallery within a 6-month period of the end of the residency.
