The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) invites you to join us for a special artist talk by Honey Jalali, who is currently the artist-in-residence at the Women’s Centre of Calgary (WCC). The talk will be held virtually on Monday February 28th, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Honey is a multidisciplinary Iranian artist based in Calgary. She has worked in art production, painting, graphic design, photography, material installation, theatre, artistic production, and cultural promotion. She has taught graphic design at university for 15 years. She finds healing in painting and likes to experiment with new artistic practices all the time including some experience as an actress. Honey has continued to build an impressive and long list of accomplishments and projects, even during the pandemic. She will be discussing how to find more opportunities in the arts and her journey navigating different mediums of art and finding her unique voice and establishing her art.
