ICAI Launch

We are proud to share photographs from the inaugural event to mark the launch of the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI). We are extremely excited for the bright future of our organization as we work to serve a diverse community of immigrant and newcomer artists and arts professionals. We are also grateful to our partners and funders for their invaluable support as we embark on this incredible project to help ease the transition into the arts for artists and arts workers from diverse communities. 

ICAI is an arts council based in Calgary, Alberta. The council was founded in January 2019 with the expressed purpose of connecting newcomer and immigrant artists, arts administrators and culture workers to the existing arts community in Calgary.

ICAI actively encourages diversity of expression and culture through the creation of a safe and welcoming community where newcomer and immigrant art workers feel confident to share their work and distinct cultural identities.
