ICAI would like to warmly welcome Noah J Hobbs! He will be collaborating with us as an ICAI practicum settlement student in Communications and Engagement, learning from practical applied experience, and having the opportunity to practice skills needed for his future career development.
Noah currently attends the "Settlement Studies" program at Norquest College in Edmonton, Alberta; the first of its kind in western Canada. The program aims to develop the skills and competencies needed to work effectively with newcomers to Canada in the role of a settlement/intercultural services provider. Committed to Settlement and passionate about the immigrant arts community in Alberta, Noah is excited to learn all ICAI has to offer. In his spare time, Noah is a designer and photographer, shooting photos primarily on 35mm or 120 film. He is also a nature and craft beer lover, frequently going to Jasper or Banff when he has spare time to hike and visit breweries. Noah's expectations of ICAI are to understand the process of how an immigrant arts organization operates, finds funding, and seeks out talented newcomer artists to showcase and assist. He seeks a deeper understanding of Anti-Racism and Settlement policy in action within the context of an immigrant arts organization. ICAI extends a warm welcome to Noah! Comments are closed.
